MONOTANGLE: BETWEED and INCHIE, VEGETABLE

Weekly Challenge #191
Monotangle: Betweed

I always love the uniqueness of pumpkins when they have bumps and an array of color and deformity. They are just beautiful all by themselves! But I did decide to use mine as columns for my 'Betweed', monotangle. I kind of did it with a spiral affect.

Remember, you can always click on image to enlarge. :0)

Laura, Artoo will be in my prayers, as will your family and the doctors and anesthesiologists as he undergoes his surgery!!!! God Bless You All!!!! (((((((HUGS))))))))

Weekly Challenge
'Vegetable'

As I remember, a vegetable has no seeds in it, otherwise, it is a fruit. Am I correct? Anyway, as I started thinking about that, I had to really think about what veggies are out there, that I could use for this challenge.  I had my kids help me too. So I hope you can recognize which vegetables these are.

I took the picture with my Inchie on an onion, which is a veggie, right?
So have you eaten your veggies today?

This is partly why I am short of time for blogging. If you haven't seen the Lego Movie, these are all characters from that movie. Stay tuned into my posts to see some 'DIY' on these costumes.

"EVERYTHING IS AWESOME"
I hope you all have a
'SPOOKTACULAR'
Halloween!
Be safe
and
have fun!!!

Weekly Challenge #142
'COMFORT/DANGER ZONE'

So, obviously free form, organic, flowing, forgiving lines and circles are
my comfort zone!!! LOVE THEM, LOVE THEM!!
Detail and outlining are even more comfy, cozy to me!!
So with that said,
'BEWARE', NOW ENTERING THE DANGER ZONE'!!!
"Sorry 'CHARLIE' I really didn't do it justice!  Can you tell it wasn't my favorite? Now, I did find a little love for Canard, when all was said and done." I'm definitely, not a square person. (Although some people might beg to differ with that) hee hee  What's crazy though, I love squares when it comes to decorating in my home, but drawing and zentangling,.............Yeeeeeeks!!!"

"SCARY!!!"
This was one of the most difficult challenges, and not very pleasing to the eye!!!
But as always, Thank You Laura, for helping us cross that line!!
It was fun, but I found myself holding my breath many a times!!!
GASP!
Although this was difficult, it really was the FUNNIEST  challenge!
Reading everybody's posts and looking at their tangles, had me in stitches!!
(It was as if I heard everyone cringe and screech as they did their tangles)
Don't get me wrong, a lot of them were awesome!
It was just funny to hear what people like and don't like!!
I was able to relate with some, and others, I was the total opposite!
"THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS, EVERYBODY
Anyway, that's what makes the world go round!!

LAST MINUTE HALLOWEEN HELPFULS

We kind of had the whole Peter Pan theme going but, my 'Tinker Bell' really wanted to be Repunzel!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
2012

Wishing you all a very Haunted, Spooktacular,
 Fun and Safe, Halloween!!!!

I know this is late, but I have been soooo busy with costumes and
school party stuff, on top of all the other things
to do in life! SCARY!!!

I am going to show you my version of a Peter Pan costume and a quick
DIY Pirate shirt.

I have to say, I got inspired, again, by Pinterest, to make this costume!
 Peter Pan
I went to the Thrift Store and bought little boys sweat pants and a women's shirt!
As you can see, I just cut the pant bottoms, the shirt sleeves and the bottom of the
shirt with a jagged effect.
The belt was cut from an old shirt I had. I did have to safety pin the front
of the shirt because it kept sliding off his shoulders.
But nothing that a little safety pin can't fix!
And when it was on it just added to the look of the shirt!
Whah La!!!

The Pirate
My husband is a trooper! He just goes along with whatever the rest of
the family picks for our costume theme. (As long as it doesn't require
any face painting!)
What I did for his shirt is,
I took an old white t-shirt. Cut out the neck, and cut a slit down the
center, about 6". Then I took some small, but sharp scissors, and poked holes
in the fabric, on either side of the slit. (line them up evenly)
Then I took a shoe lace and fed it through the holes, like you would a shoe!
I put jagged cuts along the sleeves and bottom of the shirt.
We grabbed a rope from the garage, and
Whah La, Again!
(those two costumes saved me lots of money)

CANDY CORN KRISPIE TREATS

I found this idea, also on Pinterest, on www.glorioustreats.com/
I still used my recipe for the krispie's (you'll find on my blog). To make
three 9" round pans and one square (regular) treats, it took
3 batches of my recipe. A yellow one, an orange one, and a regular one!
When I saw this on Glorious Treats I just knew I had to try it!
What an awesome idea!!

I found this very interesting! At the pumpkin patch, there are workers that give tid bits of information. And they informed us that they line the pumpkin patch with planted sunflowers, so that they draw the bees. And that way they are sure that the pumkin vines will get pollinated. Pretty interesting!!!

Last but not least,..........
I just had to share a bit of Fall Beauty, with ya' all!!
These pictures were taken when I went with my son's school, on a field trip, to a
Pumpkin Patch!

Enjoy your Halloween, and
WATCH OUT FOR THOSE 'GOBBLINS'!
