Weekly Challenge #218
'White on Black on Found'
For the Diva's weekly challenge, she asked us to use white on black, this time. Since I have been playing with Rock decorating, I thought I might as well try using the calligraphy pen w/nib and ink to do my entry. Wow, I love how easy it flows. Mind you, the nib has to be dipped into the ink, here and there, but it shows up so strong and it's easy to make fine lines. You oughta give it a try! I am still learning though. It takes some mastering and getting used to. I then used the white charcoal pencil to do some shading. Fun, fun, Fun!!!! Thank you Laura for the great challenge. I don't use white o black as much as I'd like to.

I would think using a calligraphy pen would be difficult. Looks like you were able to control it well. Is some nice flowing work. I like the rocks. Did you use the pen on them? I would think that would wear the nib.

Annette...your son's quote is priceless! Kids say the most wonderful things sometimes. Nice work, I've never worked on rock/stone! I know what you mean about this weather. Overcast here again today and doubt it will get really hot...feel like we are living a charmed life.

Your quote piece is so elegantly done! And to use the caligrapher's pen to do it all...all I can say is wow! The rocks are just as beautifully done as well. Condolences on your mother-in-law's death to you and yours.
